Dr. Gregory Lane grew up in Wayne, IL and comes from a family of dentists. From an early age, he took an interest in dentistry and is excited to follow in the footsteps of his family members in the dental field. While pursuing his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University, Dr. Lane studied biological anthropology and leveraged his interest in the subject to take part in various archaeological digs in Hungary. From his research and experience overseas, he wrote a thesis on forensic odontology – the use of dental science to identify unknown remains.
He then headed to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he continued with his research interests. In addition to his studies, Dr. Lane headed a project geared towards understanding the various and often complicated dental needs of psychiatric in-patients – an interest that continues today through his dental work at various nursing homes throughout Chicagoland. After graduating with a DMD degree in 2013, Dr. Lane married Dr. Lauren (one of our dentists at Innovative Pediatric Dentistry!) and set down roots in the area. And, in 2017, they welcomed their son, Emmett, into their family. Dr. Greg enjoys golf in the summer, paddle tennis in the winter, and, when Dr. Lauren can persuade him, skiing.
Dr. Lane is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. He loves the energy and enthusiasm that the dental profession brings. The dentist’s office may not be everyone’s favorite place in the world, but Dr. Lane strives to make each dental visit as comfortable as possible for all of his patients.
