Naperville Dentist - Anthony LaVacca, D.M.D.

After completing undergraduate studies in accounting at Rutgers University, Dr. LaVacca attended Temple University, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He then completed a general practice residency at East Orange Veterans Hospital, and extensive post-graduate prosthodontics training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
As a certified prosthodontist, Dr. LaVacca has presented lectures both nationally and internationally on several topics, including Superior Implant Replacement with State-of-the-Art Computer Software, a Brief Overview of Full-Mouth Rehabilitation using Implants, Decreasing Chair Time with a Controlled Indirect Technique for Fixed Prostheses and Surgical Implant Hands-on Training.
Before opening Naperville Dental Specialists, among others, he practiced Restorative Dentistry with University Associates in Dentistry, Implant Prosthetic Rehabilitation Dentistry at the Chicago Center for Advanced Dentistry, and Advanced Restorative Dentistry at LaSota & Lee Rockefeller Center Plaza in New York. Other professional appointments include serving as director of the general practice residency program and interim director of the postgraduate program in prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he currently serves as an assistant professor.
Dr. LaVacca has received several honorary recognitions for his contribution to the field. He has presented table clinics for the Temple University Alumni Association, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics. He participated in a study focused on Bond Strengths of Laboratory Veneering to Gold-Coated Titanium and Bond strengths of Polymer Glass to Three Cast Alloys.

Naperville Dentist - Kiley Hirons, D.D.S.
Dr. Kiley Hirons received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University where she majored in Mangement and minored in International Business and Technology Information Systems. After working as a consultant for Arthur Andersen she was ready for a new challenge. She had found her passion, dentistry, and received her doctor of dental surgery degree from University of Illinois-Chicago.
As a general dentist, Dr. Hirons strives to provide the highest standard of care in a relaxed environment. She believes in comprehensive oral heath care with a strong emphasis on disease prevention. Dr. Hirons understands the importance of oral health and educates patients on its systemic impacts.
Patient comfort is the top priority for Dr. Hirons. She takes the time to answer any questions and goes above and beyond to make each patient feel comfortable. In creating a relaxed atmosphere, Dr. Hirons is able to provide her patients with optimal esthetic results. A bright smile exudes confidence.

Naperville Dentist - Elly Sharaf-Eldeen, D.M.D.
Dr. Sharaf-Eldeen grew up on the east coast of Florida and attended the University of Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to attend the University of Florida School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. Sharaf-Eldeen then moved to Chicago where she continued her training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in a General Practice Residency. Prior to relocating to Chicago, she worked in General Dentistry at a family practice in Tampa.
Dr. Sharaf-Eldeen enjoys all phases and aspects of general dentistry and loves working with a variety of patient’s needs. She believes in a patient focused approach to treatment and preventative care.
Dr. Sharaf-Eldeen is a member of the ADA, Illinois Dental Society and Chicago Dental Society.

Naperville Dentist - Aliza Blumofe, D.D.S.
Dr. Aliza Blumofe brings her 20 years of experience, compassion and excitement about dentistry to Naperville Dental Specialists. For the first eight years of her career she worked as an orthodontic assistant. She graduated from University of Illinois College of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1997. She finished first in her class in completing her restorative requirements.
Dr. Blumofe lived in Israel for the past ten years where she had a private practice which focused on full mouth rehabilitation, implants and cosmetic dentistry. Her world travels have afforded her a lot of experience with difficult cases. Her experience has given her a clear vision of functional and beautiful end results for her patients.
Dr. Blumofe is continually updating her continuing education. She is a Board Certified General Dentist, Invisalign and Lumineers provider. She is also certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry in two categories: hard and soft tissues. Dr. Blumofe was voted this years “America’s Top Dentist” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Naperville Orthodontist - Manal Ibrahim, D.D.S.
Dr. Manal Ibrahim pursued an undergraduate degree in Bioengineering at the University of Illinois before going on to attend the College of Dentistry. After receiving Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees, she went on to complete training in full mouth reconstruction, which earned her an Advanced Combined Prosthodontics Certificate. Early in her career, she consulted for a globally recognized dental company while simultaneously practicing prosthetic, implant, restorative and aesthetic dentistry as a board eligible prosthodontist.
Dr. Ibrahim continued her training at the New York University College of Dentistry, where she obtained an Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Certificate. While at the university, she was a Course Instructor for Introduction to Orthodontics and the Invisalign Training Program. While at NYU, she also conducted research that resulted in the significant article, “Assessing the Influence of the Interdental Papilla Length on the Perception of Aesthetics.”
Dr. Ibrahim’s extensive training and experience with orthodontics, prosthetics, aesthetics and implants make her eminently suited to treat patients with widely diverse needs. She is an American Board Qualified Prosthetic Dentist, American Board Certified Orthodontist, and Invisalign Premier Provider. Before opening Innovative Orthodontic Centers, PC, in June of 2006, she practiced orthodontics at the following offices in the Chicago area: Grove Dental Associates, Archer Dental Care and Michigan Avenue Dental Associates.
Dr. Ibrahim is on the Alumni Association Board of Directors with the University of Illinois, and holds a variety of positions on committees with the American College of Prosthodontics. Her memberships include: American Association of Orthodontists; Midwest Society of Orthodontists; Illinois Society of Orthodontists; American College of Prosthodontics; Illinois State Dental Society; American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics; Chicago Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
In 2002, on the picturesque Navy Pier in Chicago, Dr. Ibrahim married Dr. Anthony LaVacca, who is also a prosthetic dentist. Dr. Ibrahim and Dr. LaVacca have two wonderful sons, Vincent (born August of 2005), and Angelo, born in 2007 on Valentine’s Day. Dr. Ibrahim and her husband enjoy biking, scuba diving, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Naperville Pediatric Dentist - Miranda A. Albert, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Miranda A. Albert received her degree in dentistry from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she also received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology.
She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry and earned a Master of Science Degree and a certificate in pediatric dentistry at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Albert's research focused on infant oral health care. Upon completion of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry board exam, she received the exclusive and high honor of becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Albert is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. She enjoys treating children and regularly attends continuing education courses to stay up to date on evolving techniques in her specialty.
Dr. Albert enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Sherif Albert. They have one child together. They enjoy traveling, playing tennis, skiing, biking and sampling all of the wonderful cuisine Chicago has to offer.
Naperville Pediatric Dentist - Kristin McCullough Elliot, D.D.S.
Kristin McCullough Elliot, DDS grew up in Watseka, a smaller town approximately ninety miles directly south of Chicago. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in three years and headed for Chicago. Dr. McCullough-Elliot recently passed her boards to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Specialist in Dentistry for Children and Adolescents.
Dr. Kristin completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. While in dental school she enjoyed participating in service opportunities to advocate oral health for children in the Chicago area. She traveled to both Fort Lupton, Colorado and a remote village in the Yucatan peninsula for dental service trips treating multiple families in need. She has always had a passion for community outreach and travel. She received acknowledgements for her service and academic accomplishments and graduated with honors from UIC dental school. Given the love she has for children and teaching, pediatric dentistry was the obvious avenue of dentistry for Dr. Kristin.
Dr. Kristin completed her pediatric dental residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital as a Northwestern University surgical resident where she served as chief resident. Being a hospital based program, she was trained extensively in treating medically compromised patients—whether it be in the usual dental setting for check-ups and restorative care, operating room for full-mouth rehabilitation, dental trauma cases in the emergency department, or interceptive orthodontic treatment in the orthodontic clinic.She also completed research on cutting edge material used for nerve treatments and was able to present her findings at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists annual conference. After much hard work and training she is a board certified pediatric dentist, serving on the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Illinois State Pediatric Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kristin and her husband, Dan Elliot just recently celebrated their 1st year anniversary. They are enjoying being newlyweds. Dan is originally from Ontario, Canada, and they met while Dan was visiting Chicago almost six years ago. Dan is in commercial real estate and currently works for Sperry Van Ness in downtown Chicago. Dan’s family lives in Arizona, Florida, Canada, England, and Australia—needless to say, Dr. Kristin does not mind visiting her in-laws. Aside from traveling, they enjoy many activities together—volleyball, running marathons, working out, snowboarding, music, cooking, and eating desserts. When asked what her favorite is, she would probably say desserts. Isn’t this quite the predicament, being a dentist with a sweet tooth?!? She will offer many tricks to having both a sweet tooth and a healthy smile.
Naperville Pediatric Dentist - Shikha Bubna, D.D.S.
Dr. Shikha Bubna is an American Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who has been enjoying being involved in dentistry since 1999. She grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California, and completed a 6-year accelerated dental program at University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry. After finishing dental school, she completed a pediatric dental residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. While in dental school, it was always her dream to one day move to the Windy City, so after residency she moved to downtown Chicago to start practicing Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Bubna is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Chicago Dental Society (CDS), and Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists (ISPD). Dr. Bubna joined Naperville Dental Specialists in October. She enjoys working in an environment that focuses on the comfort level of the pediatric patient. With every visit, a child leaves with prizes - which helps children look forward to their next visit at the dentist.
